Alla V. was born on March 13, 1931 in Longview TX to Ike and Sylvia Martin.
Alla V. was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Inez Burton, Essie B. Taylor, Ola B. Owens; brothers, Herman and Robert Martin; son, Wesley Halton; and daughter Janet Halton.
Alla V. worked for Vance & Dot Maxwell as a domestic housekeeper for over 30 years. She loved cooking, especially Sunday dinners. She joined Lee's Chapel CME Church at a young age and was a faithful member.
Her love for her family never went unnoticed. She was called "Big Mama" by her grandkids and great grandkids. There wasn't a thing she wouldn't do for them. She had a way of making each of them feel like they were her favorite. You never doubted her love for you. Each one of us has a special, personal memory of her.
Alla V. is survived by her sons, Robert Halton, Roy (Pamela) Halton and Archie Halton; her daughter, Virginia (Ronald) Cotton; her grandkids, Franshawn "Nikki", Dondra, Robdrick, MaRiesha, DeKendrick, Daranzla, Teiona, DeVaron, Shaquala, Kasmeyon and Teo; her great grandkids, Na'Tavia, Cross, Kyzer, Daniel, Kaylee, Darron, Jerriyiah, Jer'nei, Neveah, Asaiah and Jase.
