Angela Renee Davis departed this earthly life on May 3, 2026, in Longview, Texas. She was born on November 11, 1963, in Easton, Texas. Her childhood rearing was in Nacogdoches and Easton, Texas where she was the cherished and only child born to Marja Jackson and Donald Gene Davis. Renee was a proud graduate in the class of 1982 from Nacogdoches High School and continued her education at Kilgore College, where she earned an associate’s degree. She achieved many accolades and certifications in various fields that she worked in over the years, such as medical coding, office management, and telecommunications. Angela valued education and used her gifts to encourage and inspire others throughout her life. Professionally, Angela was remembered as an unforgettable substitute teacher and an impeccable customer service representative whose warmth and compassion left lasting impressions on everyone she encountered.
Angela faithfully served her church and community in many capacities. She was a devoted member of the usher board serving as a Supervisor for the church youth ushers, along with assisting in supervising the Junior Department for the Texas Church Ushers. She sang alto, and was the beloved tambourine player in the Mass Choir at Union Grove 1st Baptist Church. Her praise, worship, and servant’s heart reflected her deep and abiding faith. She also served faithfully as a missionary, always willing to help and uplift those in need.
Angela leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: Renita N. Roberts, Xavier A. Davis-Showers, Mardajah A. Davis, Chance D. Fields, and bonus Daughter in-love, Nique T. Roberts. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Sir Christopher, Mister Eugene, Landon, and Ariana N. Roberts; along with a host of relatives, friends, church family, and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Angela Renee Davis will always be remembered for her radiant smile, unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and loving heart. Her life was a beautiful testimony of service, strength, and grace, and her legacy will continue to shine through all those blessed to know and love her.
Angela was truly a rare individual — one of a kind — a woman who shined brightly in her own light. Known as a woman of many hats, she touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, faith, dedication, and an unforgettable spirit.
