Annie Lesper Harris Lewis was born in Simsboro, Louisiana to the late Theadmon Harris and Ola Gipson Harris Gross.
She joined Mt. Calm Baptist Church at an early age.
She relocated to Texas to live among family in 1965.
She transitioned peacefully from this life on the 27th day of February 2025 due to a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family
and caregivers during the last days of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Artis Lewis Sr., daughter: Charlotte Dean Lewis, son: Artis Lewis Jr., special friend: Herman (Coot) Carter, along with brothers: George Harris, Hillard Harris, JC Harris and JW Harris, and sisters: Rosetta Harris and Sederia Harris Bradford.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and cherished memories. She is survived by nine children: Betty Lewis Ratliff, Mitchell Lewis, Wanda Lewis, Susan Lewis, Danny Lewis (Richele), Patty Lewis, Thadmon Lewis, Ronald Lewis (Tash), Herman Lewis, two godsons: Tyrone Brown and Javan Brown, 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 29 great great-grandchildren.
