Mr. Artis Johnson was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Henderson, Tx to Amos and Nora Johnson. He gained his wings on Nov. 19, 2019 peacefully at his residence. Artis was a U.S. veteran and retired from Lebus Int’l after 40 + years of employment. He was married to his soulmate Fellie Johnson for 58 yrs. Artis was predeceased by his wife Fellie Mae Johnson by 13 years, both parents Amos and Nora Johnson, daughter Eleanor Marie Bell-Gonerway, grandson Sebastian Dewayne Bell, twin brother Odder Johnson, sister Annie Jewel Robertson, brother Percy Johnson, sister Rosie Lee Hart, brother James Johnson,
brother Adolphus Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Vanessa Johnson – Brown (Charles), son Rickey Guice (Valencia), brother Rev. J. W. Johnson, sisters Annie Mae Mergerson (Clifford), Ida Faye Johnson, granddaughter Tonja Yvette Strickland (Robert), Lathaniel Lee Lilly Jr. (Kizzy), Oleus El Pato Lilly (Alisha). Great grandchildren Makala Scott-Lilly, Jamyee Lilly, Ayanna Hill-Lilly, Zanin Johnson, Jaydon Lilly, Jordan Lilly A’mira Lilly and A’mara Lilly, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
