On June 16, 1956 Berlenthia was born to Mrs. Nelvin Bush and the late Elgie Bush. She departed this life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview, Texas.
Berlenthia grew and received her spiritual guidance during her early childhood years at Golden Hill Baptist Church in Hallsville, TX, of which her grandmother Mrs. Margie Bush was one of the founding members. At the time of her death she was attending Red Oak Baptist Church in Longview, TX.
She attended Hallsville Independent School District and was a graduate of the Class of 1974. Berlenthia was educated and received numerous certifications in the medical field, vocation of Sterile Processing.
Berlenthia was employed with various medical facilities including: Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, TX, St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, TX, East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, TX, and Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX, after which retiring from Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elgie Bush, Sr., 2 brothers: Byron and Elgie Bush, Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mrs. Nelvin Bush; sister, Sandra Halton; brothers, Jerry (Jean) Bush and Douglas Bush, all of Longview, Texas, Lorenzo (Kasandra) Bush of Lancaster, Texas, and Charles (Pam) Bush of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Aunt Lenthy also leaves several nieces and nephews that absolutely, positively adored her. She also reared with love, D. Pruitt and D. Lowe. She also leaves to cherish many special memories with her very significant other, Mr. Eddie L. “Ken” Barber Jr., of Katy, TX.
