Bernita Brown

In Longview, Texas on July 14, 1954, Bernita was born to Hollis Rhodes Brown Sr. and Bernice Ross Brown.

Bernita joined View Crest Baptist Church at an early age. Later she joined Parkview Baptist Church. Bernita took great pride on dressing in her Sunday Best, stepping high and sharing her life's testimony for God had done mighty miracles in her life.

She attended school in Longview and later earned a Certificate in Horticulture. Bernita loved volunteering at the Dream Center serving the people.

Bernita is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shuntay Levee Brown Hurd, six brothers George Carverd, Willie, Hollis Jr., Cecil, Luther and J. D. (Joe Dale), and one sister Rosie.

She leaves to mourn and celebrate her life:  three daughters, Shynithia, Shenee and Angel; three grandchildren, Hollis, Kamaya and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Kalani Rose and Alivia; one sister, Betty Sue Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves her furry children, Ghost and Pariz.
