Betty Jo (Williams) Nobles Obituary

Betty Nobles (Williams) was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this world on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the age of 83.


She was born to the late Johnnie Williams Sr. and Queen Victoria Franklin Williams on June 11, 1941.  After graduating from Central High School in Jefferson, TX, Betty went on to serve as a Cosmetologist for over 50 years.


Betty Jo took special joy in her devotion to God, she became a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Jefferson at an early age; after moving to Longview, she joined the Parkview Baptist Church, where she served on the Women’s Mission Board, and later continuing her walk for God, she joined the Red Oak Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was on the Mission Board as well.


Preceding her in death are her parents Johnnie Williams Sr. and Queen Victoria Williams, her daughter Tanya Jones, brothers Louis Williams, Johnnie Williams Jr., sisters Dorothy Williams, Bennie Lowe, and Charlie Mable Noble, and her best friends Trina McCoy and Lena Timberlake.


Betty is survived by her loving husband Glen Nobles; grandsons, Jaylon and JaCorian Jones; great grandson Dahvidrick Jones; brothers, George Williams Sr., and Thomas Williams; sister, Ella Bullard;  Godson, Kyran Ransom (Tanya), Goddaughter, Vaunita Ransom; special friends, Thomas Flowers (Clara), and daughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
