Mr. Billy Pegues, Sr was the first born of 10 children to the parentage of Jim and Jeremiah Pegues of Easton, Texas on August 25, 1942.
Billy was one of many graduates of the historic Ned E. Williams High School. A jack of all trades, Billy was a talented artist, barber, and welder. He received his Associates Degree of Fine Arts from Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. He also received his barber license from Barber College in Dallas, Texas. Billy became a welder at Marathon LeTourneau where he worked for 20 years until his retirement. He then came out of retirement to continue his welding career at Fleetwood where he worked for 15 years until his final retirement. Yet, his love for God and his desire to follow God’s will surpassed any profession he held. He pastored at Easton Church of Christ for over 20 years and remained a faithful life member. Next to God, Billy dedicated his life to his children, thus teaching them to keep God first in their lives and always love one another. God welcomed Billy into Heaven with his mansion, robe, and crown on August 8, 2021.
Billy is preceded in death by parents; Jim and Jeremiah Pegues, brother; Willie James Pegues and twin children: Nyesha LaShea and Myesha LaShun Pegues.
