Bobbie Jean Liner Bates was born to the parents of Rev. Liner and Virgies Eddings on August 8, 1938, in Kilgore, Texas.
She later moved to Longview, Texas where she attended and graduated from Mary C. Womack High School.
She soon after met and married her lifelong partner and husband George A. Bates in June of 1956 and had 3 daughters: Renita, Bridget and Patricia.
She worked most of her life as a Certified Nurse Aide/Med Aide for many local nursing homes as well as care for her children and many grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Legette Liner Sr., Leon Liner Sr., sister Melrine Williams, her daughters Renita Bates, Bridget Bates and her husband George A. Bates.
Bobbie leaves behind: her sisters, Rev. Jacqueline Tolbert, Janice Mosley; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Richardson and Carwyn Richardson; grandchildren, Derek Bates, George Borders, Kimberly Bates, Ryan Bates, Kennicia Moss, Kenneth Moss Jr., KeAmbria Moss; great grandson, Zaelen Matthews; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and loved ones.
Mrs. Bobbie Jean Bates was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit who will truly be missed by everyone.
