Callie Louise Grigsby Ingram was born July 27, 1938 to the late Osborne Grigsby and Ozell Sullivan in Webster Parish, Louisiana where she attended and graduated from Webster High School in the class of 1956.
After high school she attended Wiley College in Marshall, Texas where she met and married Horace Lee Ingram. They later moved to establish a life in Longview to raise their three children. Callie worked for Longview ISD as a librarian for many years until she retired.
She was a member of Lewis Chapel CME for many years and worshipped with the extended CME church family throughout her life with final membership at St. Mark CME church.
Family and friends know her as the queen of fun and fashion. She was ALWAYS ready for a day filled with laughter, a nice gathering with plenty of food and lots of shopping. Often saying “Go until you can ’t no more” and so she did.
Callie Louise Grigsby Ingram will be missed as she is now with ones that preceded her in death. son Horace Lee Ingram Jr., daughter Vonda Kaye White, sister Martha Sterling, a special aunt Maxine Flentroy and many others that were near and dear to her.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Jerome Scott Ingram; daughter -in -law, Monica; son -in -law, Bonny White; grandchildren, Dustin White, Jake White, Jordan Thomas (Rafael), Kellen Ingram (Kiersten) and Geoffrey Ingram; bonus granddaughter, Ruth Espinosa; great grandchildren, Major, Cali -Parker, Tennessee and Kash; special cousins, Michael and Wilford Flentroy and a host of family, friends and her extended family The Webster class of 1956.
