Calvin Wayne Williams Obituary

Mr. Calvin Wayne Williams, was born to Ethel Williams and Woodrow Vaughn on March 16, 1957.


He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. at an early age and later became a member of Woodland Hill Church of Christ.


Calvin united in Holy Matrimony to Lisa Johnson on March 25, 1988. To this union one child was born, Destiny.


He attended Longview Public Schools and graduated from Longview High School in 1975. In that same year, he joined the United States Military until 1978.


Calvin retired from the City of Longview in 2010 after 25 years.


He was preceded in death by his father, grandmother Retha Williams and loving aunt Laura Scott.


He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Lisa; his daughter, Destiny; one grandson, Kyzaar; his mother, Ethel; one brother, Jacques Wright Sr., one sister, Mattie Earl; three nieces, Consuella  Jackson, Shan Bauer, LaTonya Carter; two nephews, Jacques Wright Sr., DeVotrick Williams; eight great nieces and nephews and 22 great-great–nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
