On June 22, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, a baby girl was born by the name of Camille Rowell.  Shortly thereafter,  she was rescued from an agency and adopted by her maternal grandmother, Eulah Long and her husband Willie L Long.  She was reared in a Christian and loving family.

At the age of 9, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at the Beulah Baptist Church.  Later, she and her family relocated to New Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Camille was very active in the church.

Muskegon Heights, Michigan was her home and she attended school there, graduating in the Class of 1971.

Camille and Joseph united in marriage on June 10, 1977 and brought a blended family, Renisha Virtrece and Calva Lynette.  Then the union was blessed with a daughter and a son, Sheri Gail and Joseph Henry, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cheryl Rowell Escott and husband Reverend J.H. Creal Sr.
