David Lee Cooks was born August 5, 1957 to the parentage of Hosie Lee Cooks and Pleas Cooks.

He attended Hallsville High School and graduated in 1976.

David was a handy, working with Joe Collier.

Loving memories will be cherished by: a brother, Sammie Cooks of Dallas, TX; 5 sisters, Betty Jones (John) of Dallas, TX, Jessie Anderson (Luther) of Dallas, TX, Floria Cooks of Dallas, TX, Willie Ruth (Homer Alford) of Dallas, TX and Thelma Bush (Clifford) Hallsville, TX along with other friends.
