Debra Ann Adams Loyd was born, March 4, 1953 to the parentage of the late Levy and Irene Amey Adams, in Henderson TX.
Debra grew up in the Friendship Baptist Church, and later rededicated her life to Christ, and became a member of Union Church of Christ.
She attended Mayflower schools, and after integration, she graduated from Tatum High School in 1974. She was a member of the Mayflower Pep Squad, and was a band member at Tatum High School, where she played the flute.
Debra worked in a private home for 15 years, and later became employed with Henderson Memorial Hospital in the Dietary Department for 18 years, until her health failed.
Her parents and a brother, Johnny, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Brancha Loyd, of Tatum TX; two daughters, Shawnta Loyd, of Tatum TX and Sade Barr, of Kilgore TX; two grandsons, Devin Loyd, of Dallas TX and Gage Morgan, of Gladewater TX; three granddaughters, Shakeyha, Nariya, and Terica O’Neal, all of Kilgore TX; one brother, Ricky Adams, of Tatum TX; one sister, Eddie Jewell Adams Nolen, of Dallas TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
