Deloris Elaine Beckworth Jackson was born on August 12, 1948 to Marie Portley Beckworth and Willie B. Beckworth.
She graduated from Mayflower High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Jarvis Christian University.
Deloris united in marriage to Dwayne Jackson and two children were born.
Deloris joined church at an early age. She united with Smith Chapel Baptist Church and later united with Enon Baptist Church with her husband who became the pastor at Enon Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and hosted many activities at the church.
She was employed by Continental Can and Southwestern Bell telephone. After retiring she joined her husband at the gospel radio station KJTX FM 104.5 where she became part owner as well as
owner of the Garden, a mineral and health store in the Longview area.
Preceding her in death was her mother and father, husband Dwayne Jackson, brother, Johnny (Ardis) Beckworth, sister, Patsy Ross Beckworth.
She leaves behind sons, Nicholas Jackson and Brandon Jackson; two grandchildren, Treymayne Jackson and Zaiden Jackson; a brother, Lamar Beckworth and a host of nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed serving others through sharing God’s word by way of the Gospel Radio Station FM 104.5 KJTX.
