Donald Ray King was born December 21, 1947, to Hazel and Benny King in Dallas Texas. He was preceded in death by both his parents and one sibling, Judy King.
He received his education and diploma from West Rusk High School; then joined the U.S. Air Force. Afterwards, he returned home to further his education from Kilgore College and earned a degree in Business.
Donald obtained his career at The City of Longview where he worked and became a Supervisor and then later retired.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and was a member of Bethel Temple of Longview. Donald was a faithful member and treasurer of the Usher Board and part of the Brotherhood Ministry. He later joined Red Oak Baptist Church in Longview, TX until his death.
Donald King united in Holy Matrimony with Cathy Andrews, and with this union they share two children, Keithen and Taurus (Devin) Donovan, and one granddaughter Ashley Andrews.
Donald also leaves rejoicing his life brothers Benny, Lester (Loraine), Michael, Larry (Kiyomi), Martin (Sheila), LaVoyd, Gary, Chris and sisters Angela and Judy (deceased).
Also, he leaves sisters-in-law Sherry (James) Wright, Doris Andrews (deceased), Verdell (Michael) Jimison, and Jennifer Irving; one brother-in-law Darryl (Jean) Irving. Loving memories will also be cherished by a special daughter Cassandra Brager; Mother in law, Bertha Irving, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
