Obituary

Dorothea Bradley Griffin was born May 16, 1939 in Rusk County, Texas to the late Joe Henry and Laura Garrett.

She graduated from Ned E. Williams School. She accepted Christ in baptism at an early age at Union Church of Christ, where she was a faithful member and worker in the church. She was a coordinator for Southwestern Christian College for many years.

On February 18, 1961, Dorothea married Earl Bradley and to that union 4 children were born. She was married to Earl for 49 years until his death.

She was a domestic worker for Mr. and Mrs. Turner and worked at their Antique Shop for 45 years.

Dorothea started a new chapter in her life. She married Donnel Griffin on December 30, 2012. This union gained 6 more children.

Dorothea was also preceded in death by 4 brothers Winston Garrett, Elzie Garrett, Joe Willis Garrett, Eddie Garrett; 2 sisters Ida Sibley and Mary Lee Boyd.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Donnel Griffin; her sons, James (Teresa) Bradley, Augustus Bradley; 2 daughters, Vivian Bradley and Teresa Robinson (Jerry); step‐ children, Faye Bowers (Mike), Allen Griffin (Dena), Johnny Griffin (Ellen), Darian Griffin (Lorraine), Davis Griffin (Felicia), Patrick Griffin; 6 brothers, W.E. Garrett (Dorothy), MacArthur Garrett, Leon Garrett, John Garrett, Douglas Garrett (Sharon), LaAlwyn Garrett (Carolyn); 4 sisters, Bobbie Sammons (Willie deceased), Edith Paris (James), Ruby Moore, Phyllis Rattler (Joe deceased); sister‐in‐law, Linda Garrett; grandchildren, Brittany Brookins, Tenesha Robinson, James Bradley Jr., Rolanda Bradley, Adrian Norton; great‐ grandchildren, Brooklyn Johnigan, Jerryk Kindle, Alyssa, Jayce and JaMarrie Bradley, Bryant and Royalty Williams; she gained 19 grandchildren and 27 great‐grandchilden along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
