Edna Simpson Obituary

Mrs. Edna Eurene Simpson, was born in Panola County, Beckville, Texas to the union of Kennis Westmoreland and Luvenia Jefferson on August 20, 1939.

She gave her life to Christ and joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She attended Sunset High School and graduated in 1957. Edna E. married her high school sweetheart Vernon Lee Simpson, July 12, 1958 and moved to Dallas, Texas.

She worked as a Cosmetologist most of her life, then she worked at the Army & Air Force Exchange Services until she became a stay-at-home mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; son, Roderick Gustavous Simpson; two brothers; Joe Thomas and Theo E. Westmoreland. Three sisters; Cora Sue Crawford, Willie Pearl Westmoreland and Lou Crealy Phillips.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Edmund Vincent Simpson Sr., Ronald Antwoin Simpson (Terissa); Edna Faye Simpson and Sylvia Veronica Simpson (James) all of Dallas; Siblings: Lou Calvin Westmoreland and Annie Bell Mumphrey (Nathan) of Beckville and Jo Nell Westmoreland of Dallas; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a Very Special friend Rev. Gary Johnson.
