Edward James King was a well known and loved man who knew and accepted God at an early age. He attended Longview Public Schools; Class of 1978. Edward worked at Wyatt’s Cafeteria with his sister Eva Mae, then went on to trade school to be a mechanic, where he then worked for Kelly Springfield for many years. He lived his life doing what he loved: being a handyman willing to help anyone. His favorite saying was to tell you to Jump a ditch & don’t panic for “I Am” your neighborhood 12th street shade tree mechanic. He loved being around family where there’s laughter, music, love and food while smoking on his #2 paper sack.
Edward James King was preceeded in death by his parents Eddie King, Sr. and Lahoma Garrison King, his wife Leatrice Liggins Johnson King, daughter Shannon Bradford, brother Clifford King and sisters Stella King, Ella Ruth King and Calla “Clara” King Wrighten.
Edward leaves to celebrate his life his daughter, Katrina King Wilson (Randy); a son Randell King, brothers, John C. King; Alvin King and Eddie King Jr. (Robin); sisters, LeHoma King, Evelyn King and Fannie “Eva Mae” King-Brice Five grandchildren: Stoney Johnson Jr., Megan Johnson, Nijel Brice, Christian King and Kennedy King. Four great grandchildren: Emma Johnson, Diamond Johnson, Da’Jon Johnson and E’laya Johnson
