Flora A. Pierce

Flora Brown Pierce was born August 3, 1935, in Gregg County, Texas to the late Comie Brown and Lucile Brown.

Flora attended Pleasant Hill Schools. At an early age she joined Pleasant Hill C.M.E. Church which she was a faithful member many years. Flora moved her membership to Lewis Chapel C.M.E. Church after many years and was a faithful member until her health failed. She served on the Stewardess Board for many years.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the Late Robert Pierce Sr. and to this union six children were born.

Flora departed this life on October 20, 2021 at Longview Regional Hospital. She is preceded in death by siblings Etta Mae Williams, Hurie Brown, Prentiss Brown and William Brown; one daughter Phyllis Pierce Thomas; one grandson Joshua Pierce and one great-grandson Roderick Pierce.

Flora leaves to cherish her sweet memories:  one daughter, Deborah Harris; four sons, Robert Pierce Jr., Sherman Pierce (Martha), Reginald Pierce, KaTerrell Pierce (KaTina); twelve grandchildren, Larry Harris Jr., Lakeyna Harris, Shanequna Barkins (Jonathan), Robert Pierce III, Prentiss Pierce, Corie Pierce, Isaiah Pierce, Sherman Pierce Jr., Phalisha Thomas, Nakerany Thomas, Jaden Pierce, Kensley Pierce; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two sisters, Josephine Brown and Mamie Manus and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
