German "Kang" Loyd

Mr. German Brancha Loyd was born in Longview, Texas on November 5, 1950. he was the son of the late Ella Lou Thompson and the grandson of the late German and Arleta Thompson. He was lovingly known as "Kang."

At an early age,  German accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and joined the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church.

German attended Ned E. Williams and Fredonia schools. He graduated from Mary C. Womack, Class of 1968.

German served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. He worked for Texas Utilities of Tatum, Texas for many years until his retirement. He was an avid dominoes player, a coon hunter, a member of the Longview Riders Horse Club and the All Faith Male Chorus.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children and a host of other relatives and friends.
