Gregory graduated High School, Valedictorian, Weatherford High School, Weatherford, Oklahoma — 1986
After graduating from High School, he received a full academic scholarship to the Benjamin Banneker Honors College at Prairie View A&M University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics, 1991. While at Prairie View A&M, he participated in a summer internship at San Dia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
After graduating from Prairie View A&M University, he attended Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. He received a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University — Iowa City, Iowa.
He worked as a Planner for the Houston Health Department, Houston, TX. He also worked as Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs at Jarvis Christian University, Hawkins, TX.
Gregory’s memories will be cherished by his loving parents, Dr. Willie and Frankie Barnes; two brothers, Roderick Barnes —Arlington, TX and Willie Barnes Jackson (Pamela) — Dayton, OH; one sister, Sonya Barnes — Longview, TX; one daughter, Iesha Jackson (Tony) — Concord, NC; three grandchildren (Adaija, Ian, Jason); two nephews, Duane Howard, Jr. — Austin, TX and William Jackson — Dayton, OH; one niece, Patty Jackson — Dayton, OH; a special friend, Tracy Howard — Houston, TX and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
