Herman Charles Williamson was born June 3, 1947 to the late R. J. and Onnia Mae Williamson in the Warren Hill Community of Smith County, MS.
He attended Hopewell M. B. Church in Raleigh, MS at an early age. Later on in life he realized that he needed Christ and He accepted Him. It was a joy for his sibling to witness him accepting Christ.
Herman attended public school in Joliet, IL, New Prospect in the Warren Hill Community and Bay Springs Junior High in Bay Springs, MS. He graduated from Turner Chapel High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation he was drafted into US Army. He served from 1967 until 1969. He received a honorable discharged as a SP/4. While in the Army he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Service Star, Sharpshooter Rifle, and Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device.
He was employed by Olin Craft and Bill Jacobs in Joliet, IL for several years. He later moved to Texas and was employed by the Wyatts Construction Inc. for years until his health failed.
When he moved to Texas he met and married Marian Brown Williamson and to this union two children were born, Charleston Alex Williamson and Courtlynn Breon Williamson.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marian Williamson, and his son Charleston Alex Williamson.
His memories will be cherished by his daughter Courtlynn Williamson of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter, Angela Blackmon (Tony) of Houston TX; four sisters, Marie (Edward) Crosby of Taylorsville, MS, Dean (Benard) Booth of Louin, MS, Queen Williamson of Louin, MS, Lee Ester (Troy) Larry of Joliet, IL, and one brother Roger Williamson of Louin, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
