James Alton Lloyd was born to Abe and Myrtle Lloyd on May 30, 1940 in Deberry, Texas. He graduated from Mary C. Womack High School.
James was smart, strong willed, and loving man. To know him was to love him. He loved spending time with his family, cooking, fixing things and immersing himself in the word of God. May his memories and legacy last forever.
He departed this life to be with the Lord on April 3, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Carolyn Lloyd, brothers Abe, Alfred, and Cedric Lloyd, sisters Jean Lloyd and May Bell Mays, and son Alvin Lloyd.
Those left to cherish his memories are daughters: Cynthia Murrell (Dimitri) of Longview, Valda Lloyd and Tamiko Lloyd of Texarkana, Angela Lilly, Latonia McNeary (Earnest), and Shequita Reliford of Longview; sons: James C. Lloyd (Diana) and Ronnie Lloyd (Felicia) of Longview; sisters: Lucille Williams (Louis Sr.), Christine Lloyd, Dorothy Lloyd of Longview and Lillie King (Eugene) of Greenville, TX; 19 grandchildren; 25 great‐grandchildren; 2 great‐great‐grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
