James Earl Nesbitt was born on February 20, 1945, in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas, to James and Irene Shaw Nesbitt. From a young age, James showed a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to family, beginning work early in life to help support those he loved. This dedication led him to leave school before graduating, a sacrifice made out of love and duty.
As he grew older, James turned his heart toward the Lord, seeking spiritual peace and understanding. Though he did not find a church home, his faith journey was not without hope. In his final moments, his devoted sister, Vera, lifted him in prayer, reaching out to the Lord on his behalf and covering his soul in love and grace.
Preceding him in death are his parents: James and Irene Nesbitt; brothers: Henry and Lee Arthur Nesbitt; and step-daughter: Tammy Ferrell.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Annie Baker Nesbitt; son, James Darron (Katrina); grandchildren, Danielle, Daydria, Zakiya, Sherman, Nicco, Tamisha, and Krista; siblings, Shirley Helton, Opal Taylor, Vera Hall, Deborah Moore and Larry (Dewretha) Nesbitt; stepchildren, Joe, Victor, Anthony, Harold and Carol; special friends Terry Johnson, Lindell Dorty, and Willie C. Vine, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
