Janet Marie Williams Obituary

Janet Marie (Lowe) Williams was born on October 20, 1955, to Bennie Louise Lowe and Robert Ray Lowe in Jefferson, Texas. She was raised in a loving home surrounded by family, faith, and the values that shaped the remarkable woman she became. Janet received her education in Jefferson, Texas, where she graduated in 1975 as part of the early generations of students who attended the recently integrated Jefferson High School.  Demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning and the advancement of her nursing career, she later attended East Texas Baptist University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) in 2006, furthering her journey from Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to Registered Nurse (RN).


Affectionately known as “Tete” by her family, Janet was a woman of many titles. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, relative, friend, nurse, and servant of God.


She found great purpose in caring for others and dedicated nearly forty years of her life to the nursing profession. She served patients and families throughout East Texas at Longview Regional Medical Center, Good Shepherd Medical Center, Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, and several nursing homes throughout the Longview and Texarkana communities. Through her compassion, dedication, and servant’s heart, she made a lasting impact on countless patients, families, and colleagues.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Louise Lowe and Robert Ray Lowe; and her brother, Wendell Lowe.


Janet leaves to cherish her precious memories:


Her husband, Blount Bill Williams Jr.;


Her children: Cecelia Jefferson; Daniel Jefferson (Jasmine) and Jana Williams.


Her siblings:
Brothers: Bennie Ray Lowe, Delfred Lowe (Barbara), Robert Lowe (Glenda) and sister Cora Lowe (Ricky).


Her special lifelong friends:
Cheryl McCluster. Sandra Lee (Mark), Betty Holland, Debra Turner and Renee Myers,  Her beloved grandchildren; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
