Jonathan Brown was born to the union of Prentis (Ned) Brown and Elessie Pegues Brown on August 25, 1957. He received his education at Ned E. Williams, Maggie B. Hudson and Longview High School.
He went on to work at Stemco as a Machine Operator for 20 years and later went to work for Letourneau until injured and later retired.
He had a passion for playing softball, grilling, dominoes and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. He was truly an all-around people person.
He united in marriage to Verda Cox and to this union 2 children were born; and later in life his 3rd child was born with Lacreshia Jones.
His parents preceded him in death as well as his brothers and sisters J B Deckard, Roy Brown, Emma Jane Johnson, Minnie V. Ramsour and Darlene Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories his three sons: Jonathan Brown Jr., SeDanio Demario Brown, and Jovorious Devonte Brown (Shakeah); a step-son and step-daughter; 12 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Willie Mae Leaks, Jean Wortham, Louise (Felton) Dixon, Elvis (Althea) Brown; a sister-in-law, Glennie Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A special friend: Barbara Borens and a special nephew: Andrew Talley.
