Katherine Redic Obituary

Katherine Bryant Redic, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted woman of faith, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

She was born to the late Daniel Bryant Sr. and Irene Erwin Bryant. Katherine received her education at Ned E. Williams School, where she began forming the strong valued and character that would guide her throughout her life. Katherine was united in marriage to Wilbert Bill Redic, and they shared many years together.

A faithful and dedicated member of Post Oak CME Church in Longview, Katherine gave generously of her time and spirit. She served as a missionary, usher, secretary of the choir, and stewardess; always willing to help wherever she was needed. Most importantly, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and lived her life as a reflection of her faith.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Willie B. Bryant, Daniel Bryant Jr., and, Helen Bryant, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

She was devoted mother to Carolyn Redic (Dallas, Texas), Marilyn Redic (Longview, Texas), Wilbert Redic (Carthage, Texas), Billy Redic (Longview, Texas), and Dorothy (Freddie) Williams (Tyler, Texas).  She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Jalen Williams, Mikayla Williams, and Debreona Redic, who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit. Katherine is survived by her loving sister, Hazel Richardson.

Katherine will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she poured into everyone she encountered. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
