Larry James Coleman was born on April 21, 1951 to Lauree and Mable Coleman in Longview, Texas.  He was educated in the Longview School District and graduated from Mary C. Womack High School in 1969.  He was further educated at Kilgore Jr. College and East Texas State University.  

Larry was married to Mary C. Morris until 2000 and to this union two children were born, Kelvin Coleman and Nicholas Coleman. 

He retired from American National Can Company after 18 years of service.  Following his retirement, he worked with other companies including the local newspaper.

He was a faithful member of Union Church of Christ until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauree and Mable Coleman and his brothers Melvin Coleman, Cecil Coleman and LeRoy Coleman.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Kelvin Coleman (Yaci) and Nicholas Coleman.  Grandchildren Kirah, Cayzli, Brooklynn and Kelvin Jr.  Two sisters, Dorothy Burton (Jack) and Helen Gobert and two brothers, Leonard Coleman (Cynthia) and Bobby Coleman (Bassilinda) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
