Lillie Reese Obituary

Time to be Born:
On the 23rd day of February in the year of 1942, A.C. Garrett and Vallie Lee Daniels welcomed their first bouncing bundle of joy, Lillie Mae Reese.

Early Years:
Lillie attended Ned E. Williams in Easton, Texas before coming to Longview, Texas. She graduated from Mary C. Womack in the Class of 1960.

At an early age she was baptized at Post Oak CME Church. In her early years, she joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She also attended East Side Christian Church and was an affiliated member with Mount Calvary Church until her health declined.

Lillie Reese was a loyal and dedicated servant of God, serving in many ways at church. She was always willing to help whether it was being a listening ear, helping clean, or even cooking. She always treated everyone with respect because that’s how she wanted to be treated. She enjoyed cooking especially her teacakes and fried chicken.

Life Experience:
She met and married Leroy Reese on August 17, 1964, and to this union six children were born. Her work experience began as a custodian for a hotel for many years. She then became a custodian for the Mighty Longview High School Lobos were she worked there for over 40 plus years.
