Our Lily of the Valley : Lilly Mae Griffin
When you think of a lily, you think of a beautiful fragrant plant that although short lived gives you beautiful glimpses of God’s Grace and the purity of His love. We can know that nothing that is loved is ever lost and no one who has touched a heart really passes away. Hence, the beauty and love of our Lilly Mae will linger in each of our hearts and memories in her own unique way. She fought a good fight, and her reward was a restful place in paradise until judgement day.
Lilly Mae Griffin was born to the parentage of the late Chappie Nathaniel Griffin and the late Rosie Lee Griffin on September 4, 1949. She was born the eighth child of thirteen in Dotson, Texas. Lilly Mae Griffin devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Easton Church of Christ in Easton, Texas. Lilly attended Mary C. Womack schools.
