Linda Ann Bush was born on April 22, 1942, to Roberta Brittain and Rueben Bush, who both preceded her in death. She attended Longview Negro High School, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and compassion.
She devoted 30 years of her life to the Gregg County Juvenile Detention Center, where her nurturing spirit and dedication made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved sister: Delores Morris and brother: Leroy Brittain. She was a loving mother to five children, four of whom preceded her in death: Felicia Bush, Tijuana Bush, and Hernando & Fernando Brittain.
She leaves behind her daughter: Latanuga Hogg, who will forever hold her memory dear. Known affectionately as “Mama Linda”, she brought joy and love to her ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Linda’s warmth and kindness extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of a host of relatives and friends who will remember her fondly. Linda Ann Bush’s legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We celebrate her life and honor her memory, knowing she has found peace.
