Louis "Bear" Watkins Jr. Obituary

Louis Watkins Jr. was born on April 27, 1950, in Longview, Texas to Louis Watkins Sr. & Johnnie Watkins. He was preceded in death by both parents and his youngest daughter, Montoya Watkins.

Louis received his formal education in the Longview Independent School District and graduated from Womack Senior High School. He was very active in sports, playing both football & baseball.

Affectionately known as “Bear” by many, Louis was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a quiet, easy-going man who cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was always seen with a smile on his face.

His loving wife, Jean Watkins, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage, will forever cherish his memory. He is also survived by his beloved children: daughters Halacia Fagan (Gantry), Donna Pace and LaShonda Norris; son Ronald Pace and his devoted sister, Linda Renee’ Anthony (Lynn). He leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
