Lue Hutchings Obituary

Lue Netta Hutchings known by several nicknames:  Sister Garrett, Noose, Nana, Aunt Sister and lastly Moma, was born September 26, 1941 to the Late Overa Scott Garrett and Johnny Garrett.

At an early age, she had tragically lost her mother at age 9 due to child birth in l950. She had to grow up fast and hard.

She graduated from Ned E. Williams in 1960 and attended Bishop College in Dallas, Texas.

She accepted God in her life at an early age at Union Church of Christ where she was a faithful member until her health decline.

She owned Grady Green Café in the 60's and 70's on Hwy 149, she worked at Resistol Hat Factory, Brights Fashion Cleaners, and retired from L.I.S.D. as a custodian.

She loved and married a few times. Her loving children: Thelma (Winkey), Gradia (died in house fire), Roland (Skip), and Petrice (Angel). Two step-sons, Algie Jr. and Leo Hutchings. Her God sent sons, Harvel and Jerome. She loved her siblings: John, James, Algie, Grady, Johnny Lee, and Lois Beck all preceded her in death. Her brother, Larry Garrett, California; sisters, Wilma Bradford and Janie Garrett; step-sisters, Dora Bennett, Marilyn McCalister, Mary Pruit held a special place in her heart; six grandkids and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly.

If she cussed you out you knew you were loved! Favorite word: T.Y.A.P.D.Q! and don't Tarry. No Tears for Me..Laughter..Food and Family time remember to tyapdq!
