Mac Arthur Garrett Obituary

Mac Arthur Garrett, the son of the late Joe Henry and Laura Garrett, was born November 19, 1943 in Gregg County, Texas. He resided in Longview until he graduated from Ned E. Williams. At an early age, Mac obeyed the gospel and was a member of Union Church of Christ. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he went to Plumbing School and became a Master Plumber until he retired.


He was the father of three: Gary Garrett, Ronald Garrett and Curtis McLean. He later married Margie Lenzy until she preceded him in death. Unto that union he gained three bonus children: Adam Lenzy, Raythell Lenzy and Tawana Lenzy. Mac moved back to Longview where he resided until his death. Mac was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.


He leaves to cherish his precious memories Bobbie Jean Sammons (Tatum, Texas); Edith Paris, John Garrett, Ruby Moore (all of Longview, Texas); Phyllis Rattler (Bossier City, Louisiana); Douglas (Sharon) Garrett (Balch Springs, Texas); La (Carolyn) Garrett (Longview, Texas) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
