Marilyn McAlister was born November 12, 1946, to the late Enoch McAlister Sr. and Annie Lee Johnson McAlister.
Marilyn attended Mayflower High School.
Marilyn worked over 28 years for Harmony Living Centers, as a Direct Service professional.
She joined St. John Baptist Church, under the leadership of her late brother, Pastor A. E. McAlister Sr., where she served as an Usher, a member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee, and the Mission Department.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Charles; brothers, Roy J. McAlister, Pastor T.L. McAlister, and Pastor A.E. McAlister Sr.; sister, Margie F. Centers.
She lives to cherish her memory, grandson, Da’Shaun McAlister; brothers, Enoch McAlister Jr., of Henderson, TX, Melvin McAlister, of Henderson, TX, and James (Tina) McAlister, of Henderson, TX; sisters, Willene Blanton, of Longview, TX, Juraline Adams and Clara McAlister, both of Houston TX, and Erma Coleman, of Henderson, TX; brother-in-law, Don Centers; sisters-in-law, Linda McAlister, of Henderson, TX, and Georgetta McAlister, of Longview, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
