MARY’S LIFE JOURNEY

Mary Carcity-McCoy was born February 21, 1916, to the parentage of Ben and Carrie Carcity. Mary was the second born out of three siblings.

She accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Longview, TX.

She received her formal education from Henderson ISD. Mary worked and retired from Cleaver Memorial Convalescent Center as a Dietitian.

Mary was a huge fan of serving the Lord and just could not wait until Sunday so she could get to church. In her spare time, Mother loved to watch her TV shows, like the Price is Right, Young and the Restless, Bold and Beautiful, Golden Girls and let’s not forget her number 1 show WWW Smack Down Wrestling!  Mary was a true die-hard Dallas Cowboy’s Fan.

She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her children: Joanne Willis, Jessie Sr. (Debra Kay) Reese, Joyce (Pastor Alvin) Brown, Frances (Pastor James) Anderson, Vera McCoy-Stinson, stepdaughter, Merlene Thompson; and stepson, Griffin McCoy Jr., 38 grandchildren; 116 great-great grandchildren; 15 great-great-great grandchildren, 1 niece, 2 nephews, 5 great-nieces and a host of other relatives.
