Sis. Maxine Crosby was born February 27, 1952, in Harleton, Texas to Ola Bell Wilks and Charles Stokes. She was the oldest of five children.
Maxine accepted Christ at an early age. As Christ led her, she joined Bear Springs Church of Christ and in later years she became a member of Rollins Addition Church of Christ.
Maxine united in marriage to Clark Crosby on November 22, 1968, and to this union three children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Clark Crosby; son: Jason Crosby; and granddaughter: E’lexus Crosby.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Obie (Veronica) Crosby (Longview, Texas) and Felicia (Speecher) Ruben (Heartland, Texas); one brother: Neal Stoker (Dallas, Texas); three sisters: Peggy Bagley and Jacqueline Davis (both of Longview, Texas) and Kay Davis (Harleton, Texas) one sister/cousin: Betty Brown (Lancaster, Texas); nine grandchildren: Ashley, Chris, Courtney, Cavarus, Jaser, Christopher, Amirah, Donovan, and Ja’Coby; one great-grandchild: Rhayna; sister-in-law: Ruth Brookins; brother-in-law: Royce (Joyce) Crosby (Longview, Texas), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
