Michelle Blanton York, 68, of Longview, Texas passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on August 17th, 1956 in Athens, Texas to Julia Mae Blanton and Stanford Hill; Michelle was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend.
A graduate of Athens High School, class of 1974, she worked in healthcare until 2001 until she chose to become a homemaker. Her family described her as a strong & determined, loving soul. A gregarious and accepting woman who was fierce, funny, witty, and the true definition of a beautiful soul full of unconditional love. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and was very nurturing and loving, and always taught you right from wrong.
She is preceded in death by her parents Julia Mae Blanton & Stanford Hill, brother Rodney Blanton, brother Phil Sims, sister Lenora (No-No) Brown, and stepmother Joann Hill.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 42 years Christopher York Sr. of Longview, Texas; daughters Natosha Houston (Clint) of Gladewater, Texas; Stefanie Houston of Athens, Texas; Christina Loving of Tyler, Texas; Adrienne Jester (Brandon) of Longview, Texas; and son Christopher York Jr. (Angel) of Longview, Texas; special nephews Courtney Sanders of Arlington, Texas; Trae Fuller and special bonus niece Felisha of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her aunt Jeanette Nickerson; siblings Karen Fuller (Roosevelt), Malva Wideman (Robert) all of Athens, Texas; Michael Cook (Phyllis), Patrick Hill, and Stanford Hill Jr., Vivian McLaurin, and Lakeeta Williams all of Garland, Texas; Vera Harvey of Irving. Seven grandchildren Sierra, Alexander, Kiambrea, Andru, Aleesa, Brandon Jr, and Samya. One great grandchild Jaxson Alexander Theroux, numerous sisters-in-law and a number of other relatives and friends.
