Mitchell Lee Lewis Sr.

Mitchell Lee Lewis, Sr. “Ping” was born in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Annie Lewis & the late Artis Lewis, Sr. He attended Mt. Calm Baptist Church at an early age. He served his country in the military for 15 years.

“Ping” transitioned peacefully from this life to glory on the 7th day of July 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Annie & Artis Lewis, Sr.; brother: Artis Lewis, Jr. and sister: Charlotte Lewis.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories four sons: Mitchell Jr. (Sonvia), Brandon (Brandy), Damion (Laura) and Trendon (Marie); sisters: Patty, Susan, Wanda & Betty; brothers: Danny “Pops” (Richele), Thadman, Herman, and, Ronald “Tree” (Tasha); 12 grandchildren: Destiny, Aalyah, Shiona, Bryson, Jatavian, Madelyn, Brandrick, Keyshawn, Jayden, Cadence, Karter, and, Karsin; three great-grandchildren: Malayah, Kyron and Kaisley; special friends: Cathy, Geno, Lonie, and Valarie; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
