Oliver Wendell Rudd

Bro. Oliver Wendell Rudd was born to the late parentage of Norvella Deadmond and Marvin Rudd on July 6, 1943.

Oliver joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age and later united with the Church of God where he was called into the ministry. He pastored the Lighthouse Church of God for 41 years, being faithful in all things, preaching, teaching, praying, counseling, and loving at all times.

Oliver united in holy matrimony with Margaret Smith and to this union three children were born, two of which preceded him in death.

Oliver departed this life on March 28, 2025.

Loving memories will be cherished by his wife: Margaret Smith; son: Phillip Rudd Sr.; brother: Willie Ray Geter; eight grandsons: Kevin, Brandon, Robdrick, Phillip Jr., Frederick Jr., Sheddrick, DaMarkus, and Jerome; three granddaughters: MaRiesha, KaJaria and Jennifer; 15 great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter: Shamanique Anthony; and, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
