Pastor Ronald Carson was born April 6, 1964 to the parentage of Eunice Carson Scott and the late Donald Lee Carson. He attended Longview Independent School District and Southern Bible Institute and College of Dallas, TX.
Pastor Carson was the current Pastor of The Pleasant Hill Leigh CME of Karnack, TX. He was an Associate Pastor of Wesley United Methodist CME in Willis Point, TX, and an Associate Pastor of Rose Hill United Methodist of Marshall, TX.
He loved to fish, it was a life long passion along with playing softball. He ran track and played football. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. More than anything else other than preaching, he loved his guitars and would sing at the drop of a hat. He will always be remembered and the song his mom loved the most to hear him sing was, “Center of My Joy” and Uncle Sam's song was “Stand”, and Amber and Sandra loved, “I Don't Want No Rocks to Cry Out For Me”.
At a very young age of 13, Ronald went to work with his dad Donald Carson at Carson Ornamental Iron and Fence. He was also employed by Trinity, Aaon and Cisco. He was currently working for KC Services. Ronald was able to do any job needed, for he was an electrician, welder and a carpenter.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather Eugene D. Scott Sr., who raised him, both his paternal and maternal grandparents, brothers Lester Cole Sr., David Cole Sr., Eugene D. Scott Jr., Marvin Edward Scott, sisters Anna Lois Cole Watts, Vickie Pickett and Elizabeth Pickett.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved and devoted wife, Amber “Sharae” Carson; three daughters, Alexis Carson of Dallas, TX, Aurelia Carson of Longview, TX and DeShana Smith of Willis Point, TX; two sons, D'Ron Anders-Carson of Dallas, TX and Reuben Carson of Longview, TX; loving mother, Eunice Scott; mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Cleornis Fitzpatrick; 7 sisters, Sandra Scott, Shemece (Stacey) Mayo and Sonya Pickett all of Longview, TX, Royaltee Carson of California, Monique (Adaryl) Dawson of Arlington, TX, Shatiqueka Carson of Grand Prairie, TX, Kliya Tave (Rickey) Fort Worth, TX; 3 brothers, Shedric Pickett Sr. of Longview, TX, Eric Stewart of McKinney, TX and Tyerail Scott of Longview, TX; 1 grand-daughter, Aliyah Rayford; special uncle, Sam Carson (Kathy) of Heartland, TX; aunts, Jimmie Metcalf of San Antonio, TX, Imogene (Jimmy) Williams of Port Arthur, TX, Constance Carson of Duncanville, TX, Mae Francis (Lester) McDuffie of Dallas, TX; an uncle, Alvin Robinson of Houston, TX; a special friend/brother, LaVester “Blue” Bryant Jr. of Longview, TX; he raised nieces and nephews, YaKetha Pickett of Beaumont, TX, VerDisha Stoker and DaNerian McIntyre of Longview, TX, JaVonte' Williams of Gladewater, TX along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
