Pauline Lizzy (Hodge) Shelton was born to Willie B. Hodge and Jesse Lee Van on February 26, 1953 in Gladewater, Texas.
She attended Big Sandy Public Schools. At a young age she gave her life to Christ and was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Rising Star COGIC under the leadership of Supt. Harry G. Sutphen.
Her greatest joy of life was her family. Her grandchildren and great‐grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was a mother to many and all she knew was to love. When she smiled you felt the love. To know her was to love her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Paulette Hodge; grandson, Joshua Overstreet; and great grandson, III Dior.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Franklin D. Shelton of Longview, TX; daughter, Eva (Elliott) Lincoln; four sons, Anthony (Chelesia) Overstreet Sr., Brandon Hodge, Stephen (Dominique) Hodge, and Darnell Crockett; grandchildren, Clarence (Jennifer) Leatch Sr., Bobby Leatch, Jalen Overstreet, Tieric Bible, Antaya Thunderhawk, Triana Lincoln, Chaunah Leatch, Alexis Davis, Anthony Overstreet Jr., Parker Overstreet, and Stevie Tiana Jennings‐Hodge; great grandchildren, Jadean, Clarence Jr., Cannon, Cash, Lilith, Zhari, Alaiya, Emilia, Preston, Helana, Chancellor, Cameron, Chandler, and Khalil; three siblings, Dorothy Hodge of Gladewater, TX, Thurman Lee Hodge and Howard Overstreet of Dallas, TX; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
