Pearl L. Bryant was born June 24, 1937 to Henry and Ebbie Annie Alford, she was the 5th child of 15 children.
Pearl’s spiritual development began at the age of 11. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and became a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas.
Pearl received her early education from Galilee Elementary School and graduated from Galilee High School. She attended International Business School in Houston.
Pearl was a benevolent and caring person. Her love of people, her generosity and willingness to serve others greatly influenced her decision to pursue a career in Nursing. She attended Kilgore School of Nursing. Pearl’s greatest joy came from serving others.
Pearl was united in Holy Matrimony to Elijah Bryant Jr., June 3, 1967.
Pearl joined the Post Oak C.M.E. Church July 1967, where she remained a faithful and dedicated member serving in many capacities. In 2006, Pearl was elected an alternate delegate to the General Conference.
In 2010, Pearl was elected delegate to the General Conference. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
