Phyllis Elaine Taylor was born August 9, 1963 to the union of Ray and Lurie Taylor.
She completed her high school education at Longview High School. Upon completion she went on to become a beautician for many years, until she went to pursue her dreams of becoming a DJ, going back to school to receive her degree in Mass Communications at Wiley College of Marshall, TX. After graduation she later went on to become DJ Mixxtress for a local radio station KBWL until their doors closed.
Ms. Taylor was baptized and a member of Rollins Church of Christ to which she later on moved her membership to Harrison Street Church of Christ.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her loving memories: her only child, Taneria Lynn; grandchildren, Zy'Kebrian Taylor, D'Maurion and Neveah Stinson, JaMeisha Jones; her former husband, Bruce Wilburn; mother, Lurie (Fletcher) Taylor; niece, Sharde "Shady" Williams (Aniyah Crain); two brothers, Carnelius (MaTahya, Caleb, Kiasia) and Kelvin Woolridge; a loving family of great aunts and uncles.
