PRENON HENRY STOKER, JR. “Tic”, was born September 18, 1949 in Longview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Prenon Henry Stoker, Sr. and mother Orrie Wilson Stoker.


He departed this life on January 3, 2020. He was a devoted husband, beloved father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, caring brother and uncle, and a friend to many.


Early in life, he was baptized at Harris Chapel Church of Christ where he remained a faithful member until his health failed.


He attended most of his school years at Mayflower and graduated from Tatum High School. After graduation he enlisted in the military and served his country as an active member of the United States Air Force where he became a Licensed Carpenter. After serving his country, he continued his education at Kilgore Junior College and worked for West-Fraser (Henderson Mill) where he later retired.


His hobbies included hunting, fishing and softball. He will be remembered for his sense of “humor” and his care and concern for his family.


On September 16, 1977, he married the love of his life, Glorious Sparks Stoker. They were truly devoted to one another and their three children.


He was also preceded in death by his two brothers: Travis Stoker and James Stoker and his sister: Darlene Stoker Whitaker Nesbitt.


“Tic” leaves to cherish his memory: his loving devoted wife, Glorious Sparks Stoker; three children: Preniece Stoker Fowler of Blytheville, Arkansas, Marcus Sparks (Francine) of Tatum, Texas, Prenon Henry Stoker III (Marlana) of Greenwood, Louisiana; two siblings: Willie Stoker (Gwen) of Longview, Texas and Laura Stoker Smith of Aubrey, Texas; in-laws: Ilester Sparks, Jr. (Altha), Verna Sparks Smith, Ethel Sparks Ballenger, Theodis Sparks, Barbara Sparks (Paul) Greenwood; uncle: Vernon Stoker, Sr. (Betty); aunt/cousin: Lula King; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of very special nephews and nieces; cousins and friends.
