He accepted Christ at an early age where he served as a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Garland, TX. He was united in holy matrimony on March 26th, 1972 to Barbara J. Kendricks. They were married for over 50 years. Later in life, he united with Triumph Church and Kingdom of God in Christ in Rylie, TX. Jerry relocated to Longview, TX where he then united with Life Church of Longview. Jerry served with pastoral duties, and was a faithful member until his health failed.
Jerry worked at KFC, where he later retired from. In his leisure time, he enjoyed serving in the community, starting a prayer line, attending church, and spending time with his family. Jerry had a heart of god and was there for anyone who needed him.
