Roberta Marie Snoddy was born in Longview, Texas to the parentage of Clavis and Margaret Snoddy.
Marie attended Longview public schools and graduated from Longview High School. She attended Sam Houston State College in Huntsville, TX.
At an early age she was baptized and united with Growing Valley Baptist Church. Later she became an active member of Center Baptist Church serving in the choir and as an usher. Eventually she united with Shiloh Baptist Church where she served in the choir and was a past choir president. She served on the scholarship committee and attended Bible study regularly.
Marie was a diligent worker and well known for her craftsmanship and managerial skills. Her past employment includes Cleaver Memorial Convalescent Center, Texas Waterbed Store, and she was last employed as a supervisor at Skeeter Boats in Kilgore until her health began to fail.
ReRe was a friend to countless people. She had a contagious laugh and a smile like no one else. She lent a helping hand to so many and spent her final days as the primary caregiver for her brother, in spite of her own health challenges.
Marie was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clavis & Margaret Snoddy, brother, Wayne Snoddy, Aunts (Bura D. Cain, Narva Snoddy) and Uncle (Belvin Snoddy, (Shirley). Loving memories will be cherished by her brother, Melvin Kirk Snoddy, nephew (Bryan Snoddy (Hazel), nieces, Brandy Yeary (Michael), Brooke Perry (Porter), Cousins, Marcus Alford (Margo), Michael Terrell (Jet), Melvin Douglas Snoddy (Gloria), Finis Snoddy, Thomas Snoddy, stepmother, Dorris Adams, sister-in-law, Linda Snoddy and numerous other relatives, church family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
