Roneshia Renea (Nady) Edwards Reeves was born October 21, 1963 to Willie B. (Dimples) Edwards and Melvin (Weaver) Webb, Sr. in Upshur County, TX. Upon graduating from Longview High School in 1982, Renea became a certified nurse aide and she was employed by Clairmont Nursing Home. Later she diligently worked as a private sitter for the Botter family. She was a hard worker who never met a stranger and who completed her work with a certain joy and flair.
Renea united with Parkview Baptist Church, Longview, TX, at an early age and later became a member of Mason Springs Baptist Church Longview. Her final church home was Galilee Baptist Church, Hallsville, TX, where she faithfully served in multiple capacities, under the pastorate of Reverend Lamar Jones.
Nady met and fell in love with her husband, Keivin, while attending Mason Springs Baptist Church. They were united in holy matrimony July 2nd, 1983 and this union was blessed with two daughters, Katoshia and Kiana. She loved her family dearly and liked spending time with them—especially going shopping.
Roneshia fought through a lengthy illness and was cared for at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center-Longview; however, on Tuesday November 12th 2019, she left behind her earthly body to rest eternally with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank (Penny) Edwards, Melvin Webb, Jr. and Elmer Norris Webb; and sister, Delores Armstrong.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted husband, Keivin Reeves; two adoring daughters, Katoshia (Shay) Reeves and Kiana Reeves-Longview, TX; brothers, Coletius (Dinky) Edwards-Dallas, TX and Michael Edwards (Sylvia)-Pittsburg, TX; sisters, Cathy Edwards-Longview and Beverly Edwards-Dallas; a special grandson, Tray’breon Lively; a mother-in-love, Zeola Reeves; a brother-in-law, Robert Reeves; a sister-in-law, Shirley Edwards-all of Longview; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, to cherish her life and memory.
Renea had a word for everyone and she kept everyone laughing! Now she has entered into the joy of our Lord and His Word for her is, “Well done good and faithful servant.”—Matthew 25:23
