Steve Horton was born to the Late Bobbie Mae Horton and the Late John Thornton.
He attended Roosevelt School, later to attend Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas.
Steve joined New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. at an early age.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers Don Thornton and John Thornton.
Steve departed his life on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, John C. White Sr. (LaSondra) of Tatum; one grandson, John C. White II who was the twinkle in his eye; he leaves two brothers, John Thornton and Douglass Thornton Sr. both of Longview, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, friends; a special friend, Bonnie Jenkins of Marshall; bonus children, Kesha White, Alan White Jr., Quinton White, Quincy White, and Jereme Judie.
